White Temple Of Chiang Rai, Thailand.

Opened to the public in 1997, Wat Rong Khun (also known as the "White Temple") by visionary artist Chalermchai Kositpipat in Chiang Rai, Thailand, hosts some of the most psychedelic interpretations of past and current cultural icons within its strictly non-religious temple grounds.

Paying homage to the art of story-telling, universal symbols from Ganesh, to Cupid, to Buddha, to the Na'vi, to Batman, can be seen strewn about these temple grounds; leaving one to wonder: If this were ten thousand years in the future, would archaeologists, too, think that we once worshiped a figure colloquially know as "The Dark Knight"?
